Our Story

A girl from Colorado and a guy from South Carolina met in New York City.

Specifically, we met in October 2021 through Sammy, Devin’s former roommate and Annie’s cousin. A week later, Annie stole Devin’s heart in a dog onesie while handing out Halloween candy. Soon after, Devin melted Annie’s heart with his very sincere love for the Japanese Garden at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

In the five years since, we’ve explored every corner of New York. We’ve enjoyed sunsets from Folly Beach, to Brooklyn Bridge Park, to Maine, to Portugal. We almost became godparents in Guatemala, “learned” how to sail from high school students, and tried, unsuccessfully, driving a manual car in Lisbon. 

And, we’ve slowly watched “my friends” become “our friends.”

Five years after two people from opposite sides of the country found each other in New York, we’re making it official. And we can’t imagine a better place to celebrate than in Colorado, surrounded by the friends and family who make our individual lives so wonderful, and our life together even better.
